The mayor of Zhytomyr Sergiy Sukhomlyn proposed no longer to gather classes with the study of the Russian language in the city's schools.
He announced this in a video message on his page in Facebook.
"So far, this is just my opinion, but we will discuss it with the Department of education, so that from September 1 we will no longer gather classes with the study of the Russian language," Sukhomlyn said.
"In the next 20-30 years, our children will definitely not need this language"- added the mayor.
